Things people ask.
Built for the
penguin
in all of us.
Built by Kiasmos in a single morning because he wanted a penguin skin and couldn't find a good builder. Now it's free for everyone. No accounts. No ads. No catch.
Built on a Sunday
morning with his dad. Because
penguins deserved better.
Kiasmos has loved penguins for as long as he can remember. There's something about them — formally dressed, slightly ridiculous, waddling with complete confidence through a world that wasn't built for them. He saw himself in that.
When he wanted a penguin skin for Minecraft, he did what anyone does: he searched for a builder. There wasn't one. Not a real one. Not one that let you actually design something — choose your body colour, put on a wizard hat, give yourself sparkle eyes. Nothing.
So on a Sunday morning with his dad, Kiasmos built it. He sat down, opened a code editor, and made exactly the penguin skin tool he wanted to exist in the world. It took one morning — a Sunday, with his dad alongside him. The penguin he made wore a top hat and had galaxy colouring. He was very pleased with it.
Then he thought: other people probably want this too. So he made it free. Cleaned it up, gave it a name, and put it online. No ads. No accounts. No catch. Just the tool he'd wished existed, now available to anyone who needs it.
The Penguin Room costs nothing because it was never a business idea. It was a personal project that got shared. Kiasmos isn't trying to monetise your penguin. He just thinks more people should be penguins in Minecraft, and he had the tools to make that happen.
If you want to support the server costs so it stays fast and online, there's an option for that. But your penguin comes first. Always.
The Penguin Room. Because it felt right. There's a room — a specific, dedicated space — where you go to become a penguin. Not a factory. Not a generator. A room. Quiet, focused, entirely for you and your penguin.
Kiasmos finds that funny and also sort of moving. He hopes you do too.
"I wanted a penguin skin. There was no good builder. So I made one on a Sunday morning with my dad. Now it's free for everyone. That's the whole story."

Running servers, keeping the tool fast, and building new features takes time and money. If The Penguin Room brought you joy — or turned you into a penguin — consider buying us a coffee.
Every penny goes to
keeping this free.
No pressure. If you've already got a penguin and you're happy, that's the whole point. But if you want to help — here's how.

The sweet spot. Covers a week of hosting and helps fund the next batch of penguin features. You'll have our genuine, heartfelt gratitude.
The big one. You're funding a month of servers, future features, and the developer's ability to eat actual food. You are a true penguin of culture.

What penguins say.
"Made my penguin in literally two minutes. Wizard hat, galaxy body, sparkle eyes. It's the most me I've ever been in Minecraft."
"My kids used it to build their penguin skins and now they refuse to use any other skin. I'm a bit jealous of how good they look honestly."
"I've been playing Minecraft for eight years. This is the first skin I've ever actually felt proud of. It's pink. It has a bow. It's perfect."
